Thee is a tapped hole into the oil gallery up by distributor pad. Thee is also one above oil filter.an oil pressure switch on the manifold? i thought it whas only on the side of the block

The switch up there is normally for the oil pressure warning buzzer. When you crank you get a beep until oil pressure gets above 4 or 7 psi.
