MerCruiser 383 stroker no spark advance

I have a remanufactured MerCruiser 383 stroker, have set the timing per the manufacture's speck and I get no spark advance.

Some Merc Ignition systems have you disable the spark advance as part of the ignition timing procedure.

How do you do that, maybe might need to do when setting initial timing.

It is awesome you have a remanufactured Mercruiser 383.

Any idea what it has on it ?
What year is the boat?
Does it have a fuel source mounted to it? Carb, TBI, EFI
Does it have a points ignition or an electronic ignition or a computer controlled ignition.
What engine did it replace? inline 4, V 6, V8 ?


You cannot expect any kind of answer without including every specific detail if needed or not!
