Mercruiser 3.0 Power Steering

I know it was not a standard option to the IL4 but I’m hoping someone has added power steering and has pics of the installation or can answer questions I have.

Since your questions are specific to a Mercruiser 4 cyl, probably best to have posted it in the Mercruiser section.

That said, power steering has been pretty common on those engines for years.

Price-wise, it may be faster and easier to just convert the cable system to a hydraulic system...

what year/version of the I-4 engine do you have and what are you trying to do?

I’ll try moving the post to where you suggested. I have a 1998 inline 4 cyl. Looked up the power steering illustration on marine engine and have all the hardware and pump but not sure how it actually mounts to the motor. Also not sure how the fluid cooler gets hooked up for water cooling or if I even need the cooler.
