Mercruiser 3.0 Fuel Filter Replacement

Hello, I attempted to replace the fuel filter on my mercruiser 3.0 inside a 2005 bayliner capri. I took a picture of the final result and it appears the bracket to hold it in place seems a little crooked. I was not the one who took it out so I don’t know how it looked before. The brackets were bent unevenly when out. Is this going to work okay or should I be concerned?

I had the exact same worry with my Bayliner; those brackets are surprisingly soft and hard to get perfectly straight once they've been bent. As long as your fuel lines aren't stretched tight or rubbing against the engine block, a little crookedness is just cosmetic and won't hurt a thing. Just keep an eye out for leaks the first time you run it, but you should be good to go.
