Merc wont start after being tipped up

You need to be careful here. When an outboard does not run properly you need to determine if it is fuel related. A plugged carburetor can result in 2 damaged cylinders -----no fuel means no oil going into them.The thing to do here is a compression test and a spark check to make sure you have spark at all 6 cylinders that should jump a gap of 7/16" or more.If those are ok then look at carburetors / fuel pump. The best thing to do is run fuel out of carburetors when you put it on the trailer and pump fresh fuel into the carburetors on startup using the primer bulb.
