Merc thunderbolt 50HP

Hi All,

I have just bought a Mercury 500 - 50HP Motor i cant locate the serial number on it ,

Does anyone know how i can ID the motor or does anyone have a number i can use so i can order parts ?

tMastertech Marine: Mercury, Johnson, Evinrude, Force, Chrysler, Tohatsu, Nissa

serial no.s are on the motor clamp. between the clamp srews. this link will tell you the yr you have, once you get the no.s
