Can anyone tell me the exact Y

Can anyone tell me the exact Year of my motor and Any details about it besides that it is a 150HP oil Injected? Serial number is 6443707. Thanks.

It's a 1984 model - possibly sold as Merc's XR2 model...

"That will work Graham... Thanks! The motor has a blown powerhead due to a failed Oil injection system. Buzzer never went off. Was gonna part it out and try to make a few bucks back, Just didnt know what year it was all i knew is that it was a 79-85 model. Thanks Again!"

"Mark, that motor is a decent candidate for a rebuild. If you do most of it yourself you can have a "like new" powerhead for about 1000 bucks.

And a note on the "buzzer" - it would only tell you if you were low on oil - NOT if the system is working. If the pump fails, you always have lots of oil in the tank, so the alarm never goes off - not the greatest system for sure...."
