just bought this boat w/motor

just bought this boat w/motor so I dont have any history on it.It wont idle consistantly and will puke out when I dump it into and pull it out of gear.runs great when I get it into gear without it stalling! I rebuilt the fuel pump and had the carbs rebuilt w/new floats ect... and it made little to no improvement to this problem.} NEED HELP FROM ALL YOU OLD SCHOOL 2 STROKERS!! THANKS!

"If the carbs and fuel pump were done correctly then your problem could lie in two other spots.

1 - your compression sucks and the motor needs a rebuild, or,

2 - you may have gummed up/stuck reeds - but would have assumed when the carbs were off for a rebuild they would have at least been inspected..."
