"I have a distributor, original CDI and a new one. Only have about 5 hours on the new one. The pistons were melting away and it turned out that I had a hole in the block. Bought another 650....newer one. Have all the electronics for the old one.

The distributor I believe has an intermittent in it. I bought a new CDI thinking that this was more likely the problem. Turns out the trigger in the distributor is intermittent. Works all day then it might quit for 10 minutes or so, then works all day again. Then quits, was driving us nuts. So I have 2 good CDI's. Cap, wires, all that stuff is ok."
