Howdy folks. New to the forum with a gremlin in my tank. Mercury 50 hp 2 stroke 2004 on a 18' Suntracker Pontoon. Normally wide open it turns 5400 rpm. After running 5 - 10 min when I take a left turn I loose about 400 - 600 rpm. Doesn't loose turning right. When i straighten her up she bumps back to 5400. When running about 4000 rpm she runs smooth. Pulled the carbs, cleaned, replaced gaskets. Replaced the tank to fuel pump fuel line and primer bulb. Checked for water in the gas (none). Replaced CDM (sp) modules. Sealed the motor cover to prevent ANY water from entering carbs. Run carbon cleaner thru the carbs. Run her with a secondary fuel supply. Pulled the fuel pump, replaced the diaphram. Pulled the engine cover, pulled the air box exposing the carbs. Shielded the carbs from water, she runs fine. Called the Catholics, asked for an Excorsist (no response). HELP!

Had that problem with my little dink boat. The reason was the throttle cable! It was getting tugged slightly as the motor turned one direction. Check yours by cranking her all the way over to one side then the other.
