Merc 2003 3.0 after ignition??

What would cause after ignition on a 2003 merc 3.0?

high idle rpm
improper timing
wrong spark plugs
carbon hot spots on piston tops
lean fuel mixture
high engine temps

the dreaded dieseling,

BT doctor covered it pretty well, sometimes when you come to a stop you have to turn on the blower and let the engine idle a few minutes to cool down before shutting off engine. also check your fuel octane,
if that don't work then its what BT doctor said.

when you come to a stop you have to turn on the blower

I run w/the bilge blower on all the time; never had a dieseling problem since the engie bay is always getting fresh air.

I don't mean 2 but forget to shut it off at times.
