merc 2001 4 stroke won't idle

since i bought the boat and 2001 mercury 4 stoke new, the motor had trouble idling and under higher rpm's it would just bog down. got it fixed once under warrenty. it worked for a year and has done it since. They said it was the sync on the four injectors. Anyone heard of this ?

Sounds like you have a fuel restriction, start with the fuel line from the tank to the engine, if it has not been changed in a few years chances are the liner in the fuel line has collapsed.
