"Hi new to the forum and have a question. I'm running a 1978 175 V-6 with the older rectifier setup. The other day it started running at 16+ volts, since this does not have a full voltage regulator where should I look for the cause. I do not prefer to replace both the stator and the rectifier, unless they both need it. I surely don't want to run it and risk burning out the switchboxes and or coils. All help appreciated."
