Im looking at buying a 1995 se

Im looking at buying a 1995 searay with a 1995 merc 125. The boat is clean and has been extremely well taken care of. I just don't know any thing about merc 125's.

"Cole the 125 was a decent engine. Shared a powerhead with the very popular 115 which stayed in production until 2006 or 2007 as an EFI model, so parts are still very available in the new and used market.

This was the largest 4 cylinder that Merc built in recent years. The only thing I didn't particularly like on these models was the CDM ignition. Merc used it for a few years and then moved on. However, it seems to be fairly durable and reliable and compenents are still very much available.

I am partial to Merc's but don't like everything they have ever built. In the case of the 125, I would have no reservations about hanging one off the back of my boat...."
