"I have an MD-7A and am finding some diesel in the crankcase. I adjusted the valves myself last year, and the motor runs great. I imagine the fuel in the oil is blow by past the rings. Would valves adjusted wrong cause this also?"
 
if you haven't lost power

if you haven't lost power it's probally not blowby. more than likely it's one of the fuel pumps failing and dumping fuel into the case. i'd start with the small lift pump on portside. you may be able to remove it and manually acuate it to see if diesel is flowing out. if not it could be your injection pump. take off the injector gear cover (this takes off the impellor so you'll need to run a hose for coolant) and you can watch the rear seal while it's running
