I just took my 1988 mercury 135 to the repair shop because it would not idle.The shop installed a new stator.Voltage does go to 16 volts at wide open throttle and the battery is new.
It idles good now but rpms wont go past 3500 when pushing the boat.In neutral it revs fine. It had no rpm problem before the new stator.Any Ideas
