"Hi from Australia, I have a 1980 60 Hp two cylinder two stroke outboard, Recently i replaced the head but having put it all back together and a run out on the water I couldnt achieve any rpm over 1000 ish rpm. I am guessing timing. If you think the same how do i do the timing my self?

"Brett u need to isolate the problem to fuel spark or mechanical.

Check the spark, when running the engine try reversing the boat in the water and run the engine about half throttle and spray some fuel into the intake and see if it picks up as it may be running on 1 cyclinder"
