"Scott that is a 1986 "C" model Mariner built by Yamaha.

This is a single cylinder model that was built with parts used on much earlier Yamaha models.

They were decently built but the technology was often 10 years old when they were assembled. So in reality, although this is an 86 model, it's really a 1976 model technology wise which must be considered when trying to determine a fair price.

Personally, I don't like single cylinder motors - idle like crap no matter what you do to keep them tuned, but if the price is right it may be a half decent little kicker.

Personally though, I wouldn't place the value at much more than about 300 bucks if it's running very well and in exceptional cosmetic shape."
