Mariner Outboard Tiller handle- Will this fit?????

I have a 1981 Mariner 30 HP outboard and am in need of the tiller arm assembly. Miraculously, I found this one very close by. It says it is for a Mariner 40 HP? Is anyone able to tell if it would fit my 30 HP? Are the tiller arms anyway universal?

If you cannot get this handle to work for you I would be very interesred in buying it off of you.. I have a 40 Hp that i would like to convert from steering to tiller.. Thanks Brad..
