Mariner outboard question

My father recently got this outboard and needs to find out what year it is, I've searched for ages and can't find anything..

Was wondering if any of you could possibly help me out?

It's a Mariner 4m
All I can find on the outboard is "6E0 S 108081" its 4hp 2 stroke

Looks like it's an '89; S for short shaft ;Yamaha built.
