I am having some issues with t

I am having some issues with this engine. It will only run with the High idle flipped up. It smokes like hell. But if you idle it up and are real quick you can get it into gear and it will plane out. But on plane it feels like it is lunging at WOT. Carbs were rebuilt recently and the boat ran great for the first trip but the second we started having these problems. Also the fuel bulb is goin a little limp. Please help!!!!!

"If you have a fuel pump with a diaphragm, with the bulb going limp, it sounds like the diaphragm might have a small hole or slit in it. Two other things might be the needle seat is getting stuck inside the carb (tap on the carb after you pump up the bubble). 3rd thing to check is to make sure if there is a vent on your fuel tank is to make sure it is vented. Hope this helps."

"crap in the carbs again as stated above. pump bulb, look with flash light down carbs for fuel running out."

"Thanks for the help everyone. It turns out the diaphragm was bad. Fixed that and replaced fuel line,bulb,and put in a fuel/water seperator. She is running like a champ again. Thanks for the help"
