"I've discovered that Yamaha built, 40 hp Mariner twins were 36 cubes. Does anyone know what size the TWO cylinder, Yamaha built Mariner twins of 50 to 60 hp were?

Thanks,

"Hello Jeff, I think I'm finally back again

36.13 cubes to be exact for the 40 horse twins.

The 48 horse models shared a block with the 60 twins at 46.37 cubic inches.

The twin 48 ending in 1979 then the 60 stopped production in 1983.

In 1985 they started building the twin 55 using the same 46.37 cu in block, but scrapped it (and the larger twin block) after the 86 model year."

Had a few things pop up that kept me offline for a while - power surge took out my computer all together, then had some internet issues (got to love living in the boonies).

Plus just finished up a total kitchen remodel which has kept me occupied for the last month.

I should have stayed working - been 3x as busy as ever since I retired

Jeff
