"Tilt only worked one direction. Checked all wiring, OK. Switched relays. Other direction worked. So bad relay right? Purchased P/N 821509 and no change. Again checked wiring from remote to relay socket and from socket to solenoid no open circuits. I can fool the unit by changing the "good" relay back and forth. This looks like a classsic relay problem but a new relay does not work. Any suggestions?"

"Steve, I would remove the line's on the side that not working and hit the button, if the oil pumps threw it then I would say your cylinder is froze for some reason........clogged?...."
 
Hydraulic systems works ok. I

Hydraulic systems works ok. I can change direction of the cylinder by changing blue & green wires leading to pump or by changing position of good relay. Back to square one.

Found the problem today.

Found the problem today.

It seems that the "good" relay was not making contact when not energized as it should. I changed out the good relay and finally the tilt/trim started working in both directions. So in this case the "good" relay was working when energized but was not making contact when not energized (rest position). This has to work before the other relay can function properly during its turn. One for the books I guess.
