Mariner 9.9m year ?

I just bought a Mariner 9.9m how do i find out what year it is? Serial #682-cs 031941, ive looked threw many manuals and online forums and cant find anything, is there anyone who can help me?

Appears to be a 1979 9.9 HP (M) Model number 7010209.
