Mariner 9.9 seeial # not to be found

I bought this little outboard but fail to find any serial number, the head looks to have been replaced so the number on the frost plug is useless, my local boat repair guy says that serial number on the plug belongs to a 50 hp. . On the head I've a stamped number 875-8472-3, on the block one side 19107-C1 on the other side 42366-0
Any help is a great thanks, its a long leg with all controls on the tiller handle, firward/start/reverse, a mount mid tiller with e-start button, and a red cut off middle end of tiller handle,. There is also on the left hand side a red on off toggle switch

^, also if you scroll the photos, there is a plug on one of them that shows a engine serial number that starts with a G… does yours have one by chance?
