My motor was running good cold and when it would warm up it would miss about every 20 seconds. I was checking the elec connections at the switchbox and unplugged the trigger wire. engine stopped and now it wont start. there is no spark. stray voltage fried something?

1998 Mariner 9.9 el 2-stroke
s/n 0g657682
switchbox p/n 339-7452a18

my stator high-3300 ohms, low side is 141ohms-- factory specs 3250 to 3650, and 150? to 250.

is 9 ohms short, enough to cause no spark?

my trigger brn/yel to brn/wht 757ohms-- factory specs 750-1050

trigger wires to ground are open

kill wire has .4v

coils ohm good

any other things to check? my guess is switchbox what to you guys think, any help would be helpfull!!!

No Fire At All:
1. Disconnect the Black/Yellow kill wire and retest. If the ignition system now fires, the kill circuit has a problem.
2. Check the stator resistance and DVA output:
WIRE Read To OEM RESISTANCE CDI RESISTANCE DVA
Black/Yellow Engine GND 3250-3650 2200-2400 180V or more
Black/White Engine GND 200-250 200-250 25V or more
3. Check the trigger resistance and output:
WIRE Read To OEM RESISTANCE CDI RESISTANCE DVA
Brown/Yellow Brown/White 750-1400 925-1050 4V or more
Brown/Yellow Engine GND Open Open 1V or more
Brown/White Engine GND Open Open 1V or more
