"Can anyone give me a list of items to check please; I was out on the boat for a good three hours, towed it back home, put the mufflers on to clean out and the engine wouldn't start, it turns over with ease, the safety switch is ok (I tested it) new plugs put in (because I had them as spares), havent tested the spark yet, there seems to be a definite smell of petrol after I have tried to start it when turning it over a good few times; all help will be welcome, cheers...by the way...great site, just found it."

cheers"

I check for spark with a timing light - got "bit" once too often using other methods..."
