Dear Forum
Last year a friend of mine had his 70hp Mariner (Year 2000) + Boat submerged under water. Obviously when the boat was refloated, the engine was'nt right.
Since then he has had several helpers !!!! and with lots of reading on this forum, we solved alot of issues.
We have replaced all the fuel lines and cleaned out the fuel pumps, we even found one of the ignition coils faulty and replaced same.
The engine now starts, and run pretty smoothly until it hits the high revs and it starts to "miss (not sure if that's the correct term). I have gone through all the wiring again, fuel and we got the carburetors checked twice and came back on both occasions with a clean bill of health.
Can anyone shed some light on where the final hurdle could be for us...
