This Mariner came with the boat i bought couple of month ago.Could someone say what year it is? The plate reads: Mariner 55

"Ron, I took a quick look around and don't see a Mariner manual for a 1974 - nothing earlier than 77 for most of them.

If you can't find anything listed, you may have better luck finding an old Yamaha manual (same vintage). They made this motor (completely) and would assume that they didn't make the parts special, so essentially you will have maybe a 50 or 60 horse Yami under the hood there....."
