Well what a fun job this is. So when I got that collar out I thought it would be smooth sailing !!! HAH now I have moved the prop shaft say 1/2 inch and it wont go anywhere STUCK !!

You need a slide hammer and a way to adapt it to the driveshaft, or it will not go anywhere! Heat also works too, if you don't mind repainting the unit, just lay it on a low, low heat BBQ for about 30 mins.
Replace ALL the seals too, you don't want to go in there again.

Regards, Andrew.

Mhh thought so have been suing a blow torch but didn't know if it would do any good will have a good nights sleep then attack it tomorrow. Wazza

The problem with a blow torch is that it's a big casting and you can't heat it evenly. Also, being aluminium, it conducts heat very well, so any heat you put in is dissipated away very quickly, which is why I recommended a BBQ. It gives off a large area of heat and will heat the whole casting fairly evenly.

I left the motor I had on my boat and just took the leg off and swapped them over.
Haven't had time to put her back in the water but have had her running in gear and she sounds sweat, BUT I found out yesterday I have to have further back surgery on Friday so wont be able to use it for a month or two, BUGGER !
Sorry if I out bidded you for this motor on E Bay it turned out well for me as it was about 10 minutes from my place to pick it up.

Don't be sorry, all's fair on ebay - other than getting done by a seller. I found a complete 60 with tilt/trim unit (missing starter) just not as good a price.

That's okay then. These motors are getting harder to come by if keep an eye on e bay and the trading post and if I see another one I will surely buy it even if it just sits there for parts. Was that the motor on the north coast of NSW ?
