"Hi All, I just replaced the W

"Hi All, I just replaced the Water Pump Impellor in my Mariner 50. Put it all back together and hey, it pumps water BUT Forward and Reverse selection are the wrong way around now! If I select Forward, the boat goes backwards! Any ideas anyone?"
 
Assembled wrong. Take the lowe

Assembled wrong. Take the lower unit off again. Put lower in nuetral and control box in nuetral and assemble. Or put lower in forward and control in forward and assemble. Check shift before installing the nuts.

"Thanks for that "not-a-student". I'll give it a try - I set the Gearbox and Control Box in Reverse when I took it apart, but I guess something moved on re-assembly?"
