"OK, so I scored a bass boat f

"OK, so I scored a bass boat for a couple years while a friend goes to HI. I got it to start but there is now water coming from the telltale. From what I've been able to find searching, it sounds like I've got to replace the impeller and/or pump. Any write-up links?

"You should change impeller every two years to be safe. If the boat has set for a while, might I suggest checking the pee hole and hoses first, its not uncommon for little critters ( wasps, ect) to make a nest in these and clog them up. Yu can hook up ears to the lower unit and see what water comes out, do not rev it up on ears! Dosent tell you if pump is working though since water pressure from a hose is helping, has to be in lake ect to check. Check through history of these posts, they will tell you what to do.
