Hello I just got a boat form a guy up the street from me for $400. My expectaions are slim but I'm sure if all else fails I can get that out of the trailer and engine alone. I have never owned a boat and know nothing about outboards. Do the manuals have trouble shooting guides in them? I get power to the console and all my pumps are working. When I turn the key I get a short beep in the remote then when I turn to start I get nothing. I can hear a real light sounding hum in the engine though. I jumped the starter and it engaged in the flywheel and turned the engine over. Are the sylanoids build in the starter or separate? Are there any other things I might be able to trouble shoot to help me out here? Thanks in advance!
