"hi folks,just purchased a 40 mariner magnum pullstart for a fair price (hope it runs)ser # is either c or g0345032.anyone have an idea of the vintage? also it has no tank or oil injector pump but there are hoses to the carbs that go nowhere and there is no choke at all on either carb.and should there not be some sort of air filter on the carbs??
kinda dirty under the hood,sawdust and such from the mill next door to the boat yard.
the hoses come off the carbs from the bottom of the top carb and from the baseplate of the bottom carb,they are connected by a vinyl t and then were just tucked out of the way.how are these motors? my plan is to mount it on a nearly completed 12 ft glen-l design called the tnt.boat should weigh in at under 150 pounds.by the way how much do these motors weigh?if anyone knows any of these answers a response would be greatly apreciated."
