Mariner 40HP 6e9L 406619 any info ? year? Is australian. Need which manual

I have just acquired a Mariner 40 hp serial number [h=1]6E9L 406619 but know nothing of it. I am in australia if that add any info. From what i have read on the forum it maybe a 1989 (due to the 6E9).[/h]Its just a simple cord pull 2 stroke. Not sure what is best fuel ratio 25:1 40: 1 or 50:1 seems to run ok

Thanks for the fast answer. I had seen a 40C listed elsewhere but was not sure. Hopefully can now get some details about the engine.
