"Hi, Engine serial number is 6
"Hi, Engine serial number is 6E9S110388W.
Took the boat out (avon searider) on Saturday and it ran fine. Took it out on Sunday and it conked out and now wont start.
Engine has compression, spark and nearly wants to start but just wont. Cleaned all the spark plugs up too.
I have looked at the fuel pump and taken the "out" hoze off, turned the engine over and no fuel came out the pump. During this process, I managed to snap one of the plastic lugs off so do need a new one so any help on sourcing one for this engine or even a part number would be a great help.
Am I right in thinking that fuel should pump through this if it was working correctly? I took it off the engine to check air was coming out and it was but definitely no fuel. I took it apart to check the diaphrams and these also seemed fine.
Ive run the engine on 25:1 for a few times now and it seemed fine, I sinced heard it should be 50:1 so changed it. What is the correct mix!?
Is there anything else I should be looking for that could be at fault?
Any help on part numbers and any tips would be greatfully received.
Many thanks in advance.
Matt"
