Mariner 30hp

Picking up a mariner 30, needs some work so in just trying to identify it, any help greatly appreciated.

setuo with at tiller and electric start..

serial# 0G0853753

lookwd at the parts break down and from what I can tell I can pickup a carb from a 40 and reeds... My only question is do the reeds have a different cage?

Oil mixture?
Prop? (Going on a rib350)
what kind of rpm is cruse and what should I see at wot?

Your serial number has one to many numbers in it which makes giving you accurate info a bit difficult due to being unsure of the position of where the extra number rests. If I remove the 5 between the 7 and 3, (0G085373) the serial number shows a 1994 MERCURY 30 MLRC/ALT. http://www.marineengine.com/parts/mercury_marine_parts/sn/0G085373

Your new serial number comes up as a MARINER MARATHON 30 MH/ALT Model Number 7031207CD which still makes it a 1994 engine year.
