Mariner 30 hp long shaft two stroke telltale

I have an old (1970s-1980s) mariner outboard that was made by Yamaha. I recently replaced water pump and have run the motor and it doesn’t ever seem to overheat. However, I recently noticed that there is no telltale water stream or even dribble and I can’t tell if there is even an opening for water to come out where a telltale usually is. I also haven’t found any water houses that are obvious under the cowling. Do these motors have a telltale?

Could you please post the model and serial number.Your motor should have one,could be plugged with silt.

I have a 689407541 and I’m trying to figure out what year and all that I need to order throttle cables and a new water pump plus whatever the recommended tune up is
