Hi looking for some help im servicing my outboard after winter storage was going to check impeller condition but cant work out how to disconnect gear rod has this got to be disconnected at powerhead then fed down through tube?

"Remove the rotating linkage and the rod comes down with the LU. There's different designs, but usually there's a screw to remove that allows the rod to be free.
