I have a Mariner 25CE, Serial# 695 L 551030. Has a rough idle, won't go over 2500rpm in gear and fuel is coming out throat of carb and plugs smell like fuel. Think need Carb overhaul, not sure of the year or where I can get a rebuild kit. Does this sound like my problem? And if so can I get some help identifying the year?
 
That's a 1979 Yamaha built (for Merc) "C" model Mariner.

Carb kit (811038M) is available from any Merc dealer for about 55 bucks (retail).

It definately sounds like your carb needs work and if the fuel is spitting out of the carb instead of just leaking, your reeds may be toast as well (bad news if they are because they run close to 150 bucks and not all the parts possibly required are still available)....
 
Thank you that was the correct carb kit. When disassembling carb I removed main jet and found top of main nozzle missing. Removed with easy out, unable to find replacement nozzle, can you please help me with finding a replacement nozzle?
 
Not good - merc part 80576M discontinued and no longer available.

Go (quickly) to www.marinepowerservice.com - they may be one of the last places on the planet with some old stock still available - they are selling for a little under 11 bucks....
