Mariner 1984 115 hp Bogs Down

I have a mariner 115hp, 1984, this weekend as I was going along the motor began to bog down and then stalled. After a few minutes it would start but then stall again. After some time it would start and I was able to idle back to the dock and trailered it. Bad gas, water in gas, what???

Thats easy enought to check. If you have a portable can, fill it with fresh and run it. How old is you're gas, was it treated? Are you running of an internal tank? Could also be the vent line.

Yes I have two in board tanks, both tanks gas is less than 6 weeks old. Both tanks have been run completely out at least once this year and have new gas since mid April. The Motor is a 1984. WOULD IT BE A TANK VENT LINE or one on the motor?

That would be the vent line off the tank. Before it exits the hull, it arches. The arch is an easy spot to form a crease, once creased, the air flow is inhibited. No air coming in means no gas coming out. Worth checking anyway.
