Which manuals should i get fo

Which manuals should i get for a 1977 johnson 85H.P. #85EL77 the service manual and the parts manual? I got this motor that has set outside for 3 years don't think any thing was done to it
preventitive maintece wise. so incase i need to tare down and repair was wondering wich book would be best for the most detail.. or if another book would be better ... thanks

"The service manual would be your best bet. The parts manual does not have any description of proceedure, just exploded views with part numbers and part description.
