ok rebuilt 4cyl merc 170 engi

ok rebuilt 4cyl merc 170 engine...i run a socket into the dist. hole to prime it...when i spin the pump CW i get oil pressure on the guage...CCW non....only problem is when i crank the engine...the dist. turns CCW...whats going on?

oh i forgot....when i crank it...it seems like the fule is being pushed out of the carb rather than being sucked in.....seems like eveything is ass backwards
 
ok i think we figured it out..

ok i think we figured it out...parts store gave us the wrong starter with the wrong rotation..everythin was going opposite way
