" I'm a car mechanic, my boss just bought a 97 searay with a chevy 350 throttle body injected motor.I managed to change the plugs , cap , and rotor , and fuel filter. are there any tricks to changing the oil in this thing? also what about setting the timing wiring diagram shows a black/tan wire can I make that wire separate into 2 solderless connecters to check timing?any way to scan this computer with a snap on scanner obd2 connecter? I appreciate any and all help from you all and admit my ignorance in advance. "

"Can't help you with the scanning question, but for most marine engines, the easiest way to get the oil out is by suction. A hand or drill pump, or a self-contained unit like the Topsider oil tank are handy devices for this. Marine catalogs or stores carry them.

" I was somewhat intimidated by the oil changing situation with my boat. I am a shade tree mechanic and do a lot of minor work to my cars. I got a hand operated suction type oil changer. It is amazing how fast the thing draws out 5 quarts of oil. By the third time I used it I was tempted to use it on my cars, it was that easy. I would guess that it is about 99% as efective as draining pulling the plug so I'll stick with frequent filter changes and oil change through the dipstick tube. "

I am not aware of any adapter

I am not aware of any adapter for the Snap-On scanner which will connect to your MIFI1.
