Mag 350 MPI Interrupt switch killing motor RANDOMLY

Hi all new to the forum. Ive paid $600 and learned a lot hands on recently with a professional mechanic about my "Interrupt Switch" killing the motor SOMETIMES (when I put shifter to neutral.) I emphasis SOMETIMES. About 50% of the time when Im trolling or pulling up to the dock and drop the shifter in to neutral the motor interrupts PROPERLY, but does not recover. The motor does interrupt EVERY time but it seems if I have the motor at very low RPMs (pulling up to the dock) the motor just cant recover from the Interrupt. Everything looks fine. The switch is the new one that came with the new MAG MPI motor that was installed just before I bought the boat. The Interrupt switch, V spring and actuating lever all look good and I concur with the mechanic about that. I learned that replacing all the control cables does not fix the problem. Ive learned that stretching the interrupt bracket V spring to be stiffer so that it moves the actuator more surly does not fix the problem. My expensive and excruciating analysis conclusion seems to be that the motor just SOMETIMES does not recover well enough after a TYPICAL and normal Interrupt. My 350 MAG is fuel injected. and im told that increasing the idle is not possible. And will prevent the gears from disengaging....... I understand that, but just a hundred RPM more..PLEASE! I feel like that would help. At this point in my analysis i would bet a $1000 that replacing the switch and the actuator and spring would NOT fix my problem. The motor runs and idles great. The boat has always had this problem since iv owned it. The motor is brand new. and runs like it. I WILL replace the switch and the actuator and spring but im sure this will not fix my problem. Any advice? What am I missing?
