M8B thrust holder for the propeller stuck

M8B thrust holder is stuck on the prop shaft, any tips for removal?
This is a salt water motor and it seems to be corrosion holding it on.

Why do you need it off? If you pull the prop shaft housing, you can drive the shaft out.

I had some fishing line around the shaft and wanted to check behind the thrust holder to make sure the seal is clear.
