Lower unit

I have a 98 merc mariner 225. Recently changed the prop seals because the outside one was leaking LU oil. After 1 trip to the lake I removed the LU drain plug and noticed a small amount of water exiting the drain. Also LU oil leaking out of the front cone of the lower unit from the 2 small holes. Any idea what would cause this?

In my experience. When changing lower unit seals. You change all of them. Then have the lower unit pressure tested before you install the lower unit. I'm Sure in your case it's leaking somewhere else.

Ok thank you. I haven’t removed the lower yet only because it wasn’t getting water inside it and the prop seals was where the problem initially started and the easiest to remove. Thank you you for the reply though.
