"the parts motor i just bought

"the parts motor i just bought has EVERYTHING ----including control box, control cables , and battery cables.

the guy said he thought the prop shaft was bent------he didnt elaborate as to why he thought this.

i couldnt find my dial indicator so i used a digital micrometer---- i put one end against the adjustable trim tab----then i put the end inside of the prop shaft hole----while my sun turned it i took measurements : it moved like .04063 inch in one revolution.

is this acceptable or is this not an accurate enough test?............you can turn the drive shaft and watch the prop shaft and cannot see any warpage with the eye........adn the prop isnt in that bad of shape heres the prop

i dont see anything that looks like it hit hard enough to bend a prop shaft"

he said he thought the crank needed replaced but im not so sure...........and im not so sure it was truly locked up......the center main bearing does have some scoring on both pieces of the block and the rod journals have some blueing from heat.

do these look like a steam cleaning or a no oil.........the rest of the motor looks pretty clean for a 2 stroke ('79)........but it did have weisco stickers on the cowling...maybe it was a fairly new refresh before the prob.

any thoughts about what caused the failure?"

apparently my mic test wasnt accurate............i should have used a dial indicator.

i installed the lu and spun the prop by hand and it wobbled a 1/4 inch....maybe more.
