150 hp mercury mariner lower unit removal. front stud corroded in housing cannot get this stud to release from housing

Sprayed it with liquid wrench, let it sit, heated it, sprayed again etc.

Ended up cutting the head off, then heating what was left and finally worried it out.

Try the penetrating oil and heat first though - you may get lucky..."

PB Blaster is a lot better tha

PB Blaster is a lot better than liquid wrench. Most auto parts stores now carry it.
