I have a question about the lower unit on my 96 150 Fast Strike. I damaged the lower unit when I hit an underwater stump. I pulled the lower unit, and the housing and gears are toast. I have an older unit from a Johnson v6 from the 80s. Same shaft lenght. Will this work. New to Johnsons, as I always ran Mercs before."
